Growing up in Harare, we had a massive bougainvillea tree in our front yard that we affectionately named The Faraway Tree – from the Enid Blyton book – seeing the bright blossoms always brings back happy memories of climbing trees…

I liked that story. I spent the first eight years of my life in Durban and my grandparents had huge pink bougainvilleas in their garden. Coincidentally it also brings back happy memories of childhood and climbing trees…
